Garden Flowers

Our side garden is really full, the bamboo and grapes are competing with the rasberries (we have to move them these things are great for the fruit but grow so fast and spread).  Our two Rose of Sharon trees are doing well, the older with half pink, half white flowers and the smaller with lovely purple flowers.  The lilies are fading, the Astilbe is starting to fade, our daises, cone flowers are blooming and looking nice too.  A few Japanese Beetles are starting to show up and we will have to put some traps up.  As our garden has grown, we continue to take offspring of plants and spread them throughout the rest of the yard.  Earlier we took 9 baby Rose of Sharon plants and have spread them around the pool, and doing well.  Many of the lilies, cone flowers and such are being seperated and moved to make another garden on the other side of the house.  We also hope to add a water feature and are researching and planning what we want;  perhaps a small waterfall/stream/small pond with lilies vs. a bigger pond with koi as well (too much work says I).
Also good to see is a resurgence in the number of honey bees, where there were none three years ago, they are all over and too many to count this year.  Also being researched is the starting of a small hive for honey.  I had not started it when first looking into four years ago due to the whole "Hive Collapse Disorder" thing, but it is looking as it may be viable soon.

Spotted Touch Me Not (migt be considered a weed but I keep it as it is lovely/subtle
and Hummingbirds like it.  Also used as an herbal remedy for poison ivy and as a
fungicide for athlete's foot)

Sunflower babe - wonder where all these sunflowers are coming from (hint
I have lots of bird feeders)

an amazing shade of blue/purple Hydrangea
